A couple of weeks ago it was my birthday (yay!) and I decided to celebrate it with my best friends at Bob Bob Ricard in Soho.
I had seen lots of other bloggers had been there and the interior looked so beautiful and the food so delicious I just knew I had to go and experience it for myself!Bob Bob Ricard serves English and Russian classics reinvented with luxury ingredients. It’s famous for having a “Press For Champagne” button at every booth and serves more champagne than any other restaurant in the United Kingdom! I mean who doesn’t love champagne and that button was so much fun to press it was hard to stop!
We dined in the Blue Room which takes inspiration from the Orient Express, designed by David Collins (of the Ivy and The Wolseley fame) and is one of the most luxurious and stunning interiors I have ever seen!One of my major guilty pleasures is steak tartare and Bob Bob Ricard put a seriously extravagant twist on it by adding caviar which I absolutely loved!! As it was my birthday and I was in a major mood for treating myself I also had truffle fries, because who can resist truffle!The staff were all so nice, always on hand to pour champagne before your glass ran out and offered menu recommendations with such enthusiasm. Our waitress so sweetly surprised me with a mini cheesecake that was entirely covered with pink glitter, pretty much every girl with a princess complex’s dream dessert!As you can probably tell I fell in love with this restaurant and it is definitely being added to my list of go-to places for a special occasion and I can’t fault it in style or service. It is very popular and so you may have to book up to three months in advance but trust me it will be well worth the wait!
